Coffee Cake Details
Well this was an interesting exercise in taking pictures of brown! But, oh, did the coffee cake taste good. I also wanted to add a tip for measuring oil or buttermilk, or any liquid. I love to use my Pampered Chef measuring cup that pushes the liquid out of the container. I've taken a picture of both the oil and the buttermilk in the measuring cup. After you dump the liquid into the bowl, then you push the yellow thing at the bottom and it cleans out the inside of the clear cylinder measuring cup. Does that make sense?? It means all of the liquid ends up in your bowl. I have had this particular measuring cup for years. My cousin Anne sells Pampered Chef and they now come in two sizes I think and even in color, I believe. She could fill in the details on that!

So this is what the batter looks like after you've added the oil. Very crumbly.
This is what it looks like when you're ready to bake it. And, the batter is still sorty lumpy...not smooth. And for greasing and flouring the pan...I love the new Pam for baking, with the flour in it. Quick and easy!
And, the final pictures of it half baked in the oven...and then ready to eat. Brown, but good! My edges got little more done than I wanted...but I was trying to feed the girls their bedtime bottle so I was a little distracted.

Oh wow. How very cruel! It looks delicious and yet is sooooo far away. I would love to call in for a slice!

Looks yum! I have some Pampered Chef items but no the measuring cups. I love their little black microwave steamers.
Cake looks good. Hmm, maybe for my next meeting with Elizabeth, or for reading my new APQ! Just got Oct.!

Heidi, I baked your coffee cake on Saturday morning. I had to go over to my neighbors and borrow an egg at 6:15, we both were in our housecoats. So easy to make and so good. I took it to Karens for breakfast. How was the craft sale on Saturday? Give the kids a hug for me.

Carolyn,
Glad you liked the coffee cake. The craft show was good. Fun to do once a year! I think I'll like selling on Etsy better. Heidi
