With anticipation...

When I spend a few minutes blogging, as I just have. I get so excited with the anticipation of my next project...whether it be a quilt (I really want to do Sandy Gervais Funny Farm (see photo below) for Henry's 4th birthday), or finishing the StoryBook for Henry's preschool teacher, or creating the postcards for promoting my retreats, or working with my friend Maureen on our fabric ideas. Or the anticipation of what Henry's going to say that melts my heart or the smile the girls are going to give me. I love those feelings. So thanks Roseann for getting me excited about color. And, thanks Charlotte Lyons for inspiring me with your bag. And thanks Renee for inspiring me with your photo album. When doing any project I think there is excitement in so many stages...from the beginning, the starting process. Then the getting started and thinking "Wow, this is so much fun." To the middle, when I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and am excited to be done. And, finally, the end. The finished project.

I bought the Creative Memories StoryBook software as a Christmas present to myself! And, I'm loving it. I've always liked the thought of scrap booking but never feel like I have the time to do all the little pieces. And, what if it doesn't look good? Well, this will sound like a commercial, but I LOVE this software. I can even share my stuff with others, so when I get my first StoryBook done, I'll post a link for all to see! The first book is the field trip that Henry's pre-school took to the teacher's farm. And, I've started to create these photo postcards with my Hen and Chicks logo. I'm going to send the postcards to quilt shops in hopes that some of their customers might want to come to my retreats this year. Fun, Fun.

Yep, I'm excited. So, I'm ending this blog posting and moving on to creating!

I'm kicking myself for not getting that Creative Memories software ... but it's been fun hearing how excited you are about using it. What a great way to hold on to the memories!

It's not too late, you can still get it. I'm sure my consultant Beth would love to help you! Isn't it fun how small the world is. Beth and I go way back. Her parents and my aunt and uncle were good friends, so I would see Beth at various events growing up. And, she was in a school district that was in our conference. Then her cousin Mike married my good friend Lisa. And, can you believe that Beth also has twins! And, now I'm calling her on Saturday night in desperation for help! But I think I know what I need to do now. Now, just to get a few minutes at the computer without children!
