Super Sewing

It might be Super Bowl Sunday and football might be the highlight for many, but my Sunday as been made Super because I got to sew today! My mom and dad came to visit, so while Grandma watched the girls and Grandpa hunted bears with Henry, I sewed as fast as I could. Then Grandma and Grandpa went home (their trip was cut short due to snow coming down), the girls went down for their nap, and Henry went ice fishing with Dad. BONUS!! More sewing time. Twice in one day. I'm telling you it has been a SUPER Sunday.

So, what did I work on?

Remember the blocks I pulled out a week ago. Well, I figured out what the pile of strips were for. In order for the blocks to work on our bed, I needed to make them just a little bigger. So here is what the quilt center is going to look like. Now I just need to stitch them together, then sew the borders together and add them. I had a plan for the borders, but looking at this picture gives me other ideas.

Before I get to worried about the borders, I better just get these blocks together. It makes me feel so good to sew. The hum of the machine, the threads all over my shirt, my diet Pepsi at my side. Oh, what a good day. When does the game start? Oh, wait maybe it has.
