My Own Personal Class

I'm so excited about the new on-line quilting experiences that American Patchwork & Quilting magazine is offering. This project is something that I was working on before I left the magazine, although I just started the ball rolling! The current editor Jennifer Keltner and her crew of Elizabeth, Jill, Jody, Lisa, Heidi, and more are the ones truly getting the job done.

APQU is now in progress. I bought my first class with Pat Sloan. As I sat in the privacy of my own home and watched the video, it almost felt like Pat had made this video just for me. I stopped it, started it, replayed, got interrupted, started over, played it again several days later. It was great. And, of course, the pattern is so cute. It's hard to decide which class I want to do next. I've admired all of these ladies work for years...Darlene Zimmerman is the queen of scalloped edges, Linda Hohag has got machine applique down, Mabeth Oxenreider can teach anyone to quilt, and Bettina Havig can hand-piece as fast and beautifully as any sewing machine I've ever seen. Which one to do? Hmm.

I'm also excited about this adventure because there will be an APQU class from me in the future. I don't know when it will be live, but I'll be sure to tell you.

I'd love to hear if any of you participate in this event and what you think about it. It's amazing how technology is changing how we look at the world.
