Who am I?

When I sit down and look at magazines I always have a pen in hand because I usually see something that I like or have a thought about. Then I write right on the page so I don't forget what it was, tear it out, and put it in a folder. When I saw this quote in a magazine, I couldn't help but immediately write some things down. In less than a minute I wrote the list below.

"The things that we love tell us what we are." --Saint Thomas Aquinas

  • husband
  • children
  • iris
  • beautiful days
  • quilting
  • fabric
  • chocolate chip cookies
  • relationships
  • sunrises and sunsets
  • home
  • red
  • diet Pepsi
  • being happy
  • getting up early
  • cheesecake
  • watching Henry play with his tractors
  • listening to the girls talk as they go to sleep
  • Zeno's pizza
I've already got a scrapbook page started with this theme. I'll show you when I get it done. Now what does this list tell us about who I am?

    Heidi -
It never ceases to amaze me how you can pack every minute with creative and productive activity!

Your entry here reminded me of an Oprah episode where they talked about making a "Life Map" by cutting pictures and words that speak to your heart out of magazine pages. Those were then pasted in collage form onto large boards to - contemplate, evolve, and save. The guests talked about how these "vision boards" revealed so much about who they were as people. Sometimes the collection revealed un unacknowledged truth; sometimes it pointed to a new life direction; and sometimes it just soothed the soul to ponder it.

As an incurable page-ripper myself I thought this was an interesting exercise.

    Keep inspiring us, Heidi!

I see a lovely, sharing wife, mother, friend and quilter plus I am sure that being from Iowa, the best little state in the U.S., shines through! I love my state even though MN has been my home for more years than I spent growing up in Iowa!

You are a woman who's the companion of her man, gifted with enough mental capacity, talent and the love of life. I strongly believe that the world would be a better place if there were more rich women.
My thanks go to you for being such an example on this way, Heidi.

Hope you have a creative week ahead.
