Let the Countdown to Christmas Begin
It may have been snowy and windy outside on Sunday, but I was warm and cozy in my sewing room. The decorations are all out and it's time to get busy working on Christmas presents. I got to spend 2+ hours both Saturday and Sunday in my sewing room. On Saturday, it was mostly cleaning. Although I did finish the binding on my retreat Fat Quarter Shuffle quilt. As I put things away from my trip to Houston and my last retreat, I thought to myself, "what do I want to sew?". There was the pink John Deere fleece staring at me for the girls. And, that bundle of cherry fabrics designed by Me & My Sister for Moda that my friend Sandra had given me. Hmm...same pink. Yes, I think it will work great together. So, on Sunday I pieced jelly roll strips to make rail fence blocks. Now I need to go to the Quilting Connection and get more fabric for setting triangles and a wide outer border.
This bundle also came with 10 inch squares. I'm in the process of cutting and sewing them into another quilt. Not sure which twin will get which...or maybe they'll just share.

This quilt looks very cheery!

Glad I could help. I've been working on a second quilt this week and will show a picture of it soon.
