Giggling Gourmet Dinner

On Friday night we went to a fund-raiser for the school that Henry attends. The students pick a theme--this year it was the 1940s. They present skits, songs, and memorabilia for the era. From the costumes the kids wore...

To the treats that were available...

To the men and woman that have served our country and were honored...

It was an evening to be proud of and to be proud we are Americans.

What a neat idea for a program!! It's a very good way to teach history in an entertaining way. I love the pic of Henry and the Cracker Jacks. Recently, I bought Cracker Jack's for my grandson and I'm thinking "wasn't the box I lot bigger when I was a kid?" I know the prizes were so much cuter. I still have a couple of favorite prizes from my Cracker Jack finds!
