Don't cry over spilled wine!
It's not very often that I really wish for a week to be over, but I was kind of wishing that until this morning. It's been one of those weeks were the moon must have not been aligned properly...Charlotte the cat is missing, Goldie accidently knocked over and shattered my wine glass, the tire on my car went flat, they didn't transfer my 10,000 photos in Memory Manager from my old tower to my tower (And they asked if it was an emergency. Yes, it's my life.), Henry played Mom against Dad. Yes, I should have known the whispering was for a reason. We've been making adjustments at work to having a few less people due to this wonderful economic times we're all experiencing. Are you getting the picture of what kind of week it's been?
The weather has been better this week and after Henry took a fall on the gravel on Tuesday, he thought popsicles would make everything better.

It was a little windy.

Today I had scheduled our local Stampin' Up consultant Lori to give my friends and me a Big Shot cutting lesson. I bought this fun die-cutting system a year ago, but always fumble as I use it. Lori helped us this morning with tips and ideas for using it. It was a small enough group we just sat around the dining room table. It was the highlight of my week--a little cutting, a little chatting, a little quilt talk, a little gossip, a lot of laughs.
Goldie and Virginia were a great source of amusement this morning. From the minute I got them dressed this morning they have been trying to undress. A sock. The pants. The shirt. I would put them back on and they would start over. When my guests arrived, Goldie was without pants and one sock. Then Goldie started taking off her diaper. What a game she was making of this. She knew she shouldn't take it off, but that wasn't going to stop her.
At one point Virginia came out of her bedroom to work with us at the dining room table.

What's the big deal, right?

My week could not have ended on a better note. And, the weather is so beautiful today that grilling steaks on the porch is going to be the perfect ending to this day.

That first pic of Henry sharing his popsicle with his sister is the sweetest thing! And I love the one of your nearly nakie little girl at the table looking on with the ladies! Is that die cut machine something like the Cricut? Enjoy those steaks!!!

Yes, the Big Shot is in the same category as the Cricut. I like the Big Shot because it's light and portable. And, you can use practically any brand of die-cut with it. I even learned how to use those brass templates that were so popular years ago for embossing on the Big Shot. Very cool. Stampin' Up has started making some die-cuts exclusively for the Big Shot. But, I've bought the die-cuts at JoAnn's and Archivers, too.
And, the steaks were yummy! Yukon gold potatoes along the side. Yum-Yum.
