Everyone is Creative

Appreciating someone's creativity is as important as being creative yourself. There are so many ways to be creative. So, when I had the recent opportunity to combine creativity with a woman (aka MW) in our town it was very exciting to me. Not being from this town originally I don't know all of the ins and outs of who knows who and who does what--but I'm learning! Well, MW won a doorprize at the Fall Fest last year and she wrote me the most beautiful scripted postcard thankyou. It was frameable!

Fast forward several months to January as I start to work on the wedding quilt for Brett and Liz. You might recall I needed 49 blocks and was 3 short. What is a quilter to do? BE CREATIVE! Something reminded me of the beautiful scripting that MW had done. Hmm. Would she do it on fabric? Worst she was going to tell me was no, right? A quick call and a new friendship was born. MW and I are kindred spirits. We could talk for hours about our families, our animals, our hobbies, our adventures. I enjoy people like her. A few conversations and a practice session later, MW was on her way to helping me with my three blocks.

And, on to the real thing.

I think when it all gets done it will be beautiful.
