The Day was Hot, but the People were Cool!
MQS 2009--Fire and Ice--kicked off at 3 p.m. yesterday in Kansas City. The APQS team likes to wear a wardrobe that is appropriate for the theme. For pictures of the entire team, see my APQS blog. But, I wanted to focus here on one particular team member--Amy Anderson. Amy is in our service department and helps quilters everyday with "my machine is making a strange noise" or "I broke a needle, now what do I do" and any problem an APQS owner might have. Amy arrived yesterday dressed for the Fire & Ice theme in a beautiful red satin dress. But, with in minutes, she was off to do what she does best--work on a machine.

In true APQS fashion, Amy dove right in to fix the problem.

One of my favorite things about any quilt show is getting to re-connect with old friends and meeting new friends.

In between working, we have a little fun, too! Claudia Pfeil is below.
