What's a Girl to do?
If you were a 19-year-old Texas girl, on summer vacation in Iowa with your mother to attend a quilt retreat, and finally had a day of relaxation, what would you do?
Bale 675 square bales. Seems logical doesn't it? In my self-proclaimed week of "Go Girlfriend" I salute Emily for getting in there and getting the job done. (We'll give our friend Philip Jass--he stacked the bales--and my husband Jeff --moved racks and unloaded bales--some credit for helping, too!)
The afternoon was beautiful, and the job got done before it rained this morning.

We fed the baling crew grilled chicken thighs, corn on the cob, fresh coleslaw, and homemade ice cream. Summer livin' in Iowa is grand!
