Moving like a turtle...

The day after a long weekend is always a little tough. I'm feeling like a herd of turtles stuck in mud...or better yet, stopped to sunbath!

Taken yesterday at Pine Lake in Eldora, Iowa, while walking.

Oh, Heidi, the turtles are BEAUTIFUL!!! I really want to see that sometime!!! I had little "red ears" turtles when i was college age and LOVED them!! They would respond to my voice, but not to others'.
How big were these?? They look a little like dessert plate size. Probably not a good comparison for the turtles, but you understand what I mean!!
    Thanks for sharing!!

I would say many of the turtles were dinner plate size! They were big.

Haven't been to Pine Lake in years. Went one time with my folks and Grama (dads mom) all of them are gone now. Stopped first at that little roadside park heading toward Zearing (i think)
That would be cool to see those turtles like that!
Have a good week, isn't this weather glorious??

Whenever I think of the state of Iowa I picture fields and fields of corn stalks. Surprised to see this beautiful stream and of course the little critters.....
