Must Stop Quilt Shop

It is the responsibility of every quilter to research and report on all quilt shops they visit to other quilters. Right? This is the code of quilters, isn't it? So, here is my latest stop in Bath, Maine.

Mariner's Compass Quilt Shop is located in the main shopping district of this cute town. See shots of downtown in my previous post. It's one of those towns were good walking shoes are a must. And, preferrably lots of time to wander up and down the street, checking out all of the wonderful shops.

Amanda Campbell is the owner. She's working hard to provide a variety of fabrics for her customers. She had a nice showing of batiks.

Some homespun type fabrics.

Lots of interesting displays to show off her extensive number of samples.

She had a nice mixture of garmets, bags, and stuff. I asked if she had a lot of interest and she noted that she did because of some great classes/teachers that she offered.

A corner for the kids, including her adorable 2-year-old son Conner, to play. I must tell you that when she extended an offer to stay at her home during my visit, she was concerned that I would be ok with her small child. You know my response, right? Just ONE 2-year-old...heck I'm used to TWO 2-year-olds. And, Conner was adorable...my girls would have loved him. Maybe someday they'll all get to play together.

One of my favorite parts of the store was the entrance to the room where Lenni lives. Amanda has teamed up with APQS sales rep Marcia O'Donnell to provide the opportunity for quilters to rent Lenni.
Here is the sign you'll find. Makes me want to quilt!

Here is all of the information you'll need for your visit to Mariner's Compass quilt shop. Besure to tell Amanda I sent you!

The photo of the store front just said "MAINE"! I could even picture Jessica Fletcher trying to solve a quilting mystery at the shop. Lots of lovely fabrics and samples to see. The kiddie corner and tent were soooo cute and fun for little ones.
