This Isn't to be Missed
If you've ever read a book to a child, you know fun it can be. When the child giggles at something funny, or the silliness of reading words that rhyme and tangle your tongue. With Henry starting kindergarten this year we are reading more than ever. Even after just a few weeks of school and practicing his alphabet he's looking at everything differently. "Mom, How do you spell ____?" Henry and I are working on his own alphabet book.
In the meantime, we'll continue to read as many books as we can. My trip to Maine had a little surprise I wasn't expecting--a new book to read! The author of A isn't for Fox is Wendy Ulmer. Wendy is Amanda Campbell's mother. Amanda is the owner of Mariner's Compass Quilt Shop. So when you stop at the shop, you'll likely see Wendy there working.
The book is adorable. Henry loved it when we read it. And, it was a fun book to read. You can order it from Mariner's Compass Quilt Shop and I also saw it on Amazon. You can follow along with Wendy at her blog, too. Be sure to tell your schools and local libraries about this charming book.

How fun Heidi! I love to read to my grandkids! We buy a new book every time we go to Target. Yesterday, in the dollar bins, they had several Sesame Street Books. Bought them all. Darling!
We read to my kids from a very early age, and they are all avid readers like their parents!
