Creativity Everywhere!
The quilts hanging in the exhibit hall at International Quilt Market and Festival are all awarding-winning in my eyes! Whether applique or pieced or group--art or traditional--they are incredible. I just wanted to show you a few of my favorites from a 30-minute break I took from working the APQS booth.
Denise Havlan of Plainfield, Illinois, made Snapshot: Shannon's Bantam. Being a fan of roosters, I was immediately drawn to this quilt. The more I looked at it, the more I thought it was just so sweet.

Lynne Pillus of Oroville, California, capture the farm truck I want in her quilt Farm Truck-Retired.

The Pittsburgh friendship quilt consists of 21 panels spanning 80 feet. More than 32,000 two and one-quarter squares make up this quilt that took a year to make.

Go with the Flow by Cindy Cooksey of Irvine, California, captured a phrase I use a lot!

Rondo of Roses was made by Akiko Muraki of Japan. Incredible! It stuck me as a happy quilt. I know I'd be happy to be done!

Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims booth is just across the isle from us. I caught Alex having a little fun! Ricky told me she likes the nutcracker on the poster behind her and loves to imitate it.

Off for the last day of Quilt Market...more photos tomorrow. Check out my APQS blog for more exciting photos and videos.
