Three-in-One Update
Several weekends ago I cut out three quilts at once. It's been fun working on all of them as they are so different from each other. I've made lots of progress and thought I would update you.
The pheasant quilt is done and being sent today to an APQS long-arm quilter to get quilted! Here's a in-progress shot. I use the camera to be able to work on color placement of the blocks.

The pig quilt for the AASV auction has been so much fun. There have been lots of options and decisions for me to make.
Did I want the quilt to be small?

Or larger?

I did go with larger...but now what about borders?

Then there is the batik quilt. The blocks are all done. I ended up going back and making another block so that I had 25 for an even 5x5 quilt. But how to lay it out???
Choice A---all blocks set the same way

Choice B---every other block rotated

These blocks are next to be pieced, so let me know which setting you like the best!

It's hard to decide - LOL! I like Choice A as it is nice and even all across. But the two blues that are right next to each other in row 2 of the photo are throwing it off for me so I looked at Choice B and that's a little better since it's breaking up the "even-ness" of the blues. Whatever you pick will be perfect and look forward to seeing the actual quilted piece when it is done!

I like choice two, especially with the added sunflowers.

I like quilt #2, especially with the added flowers....#1 would look good with the flowers also, though! Good luck with your decision!

Hmmmm. I like Choice #1. Choice 2 is too busy for me.

Much to my surprise I like all blocks the same!

I like choice #1 - choice #2 is too hard for me to look at - my eyes go all over the place. Choice #1 is restful and I can enjoy the colors and concentrate on each block.

Heidi--
I do like the blocks all the same way. It's very neat and calm. However, I think I lik choice B w/blocks rotated better. It's more old-fashioned looking and scattered, as if pieced from leftover fabrics.

Definately B! And I really like the little applique flowers scattered on top.

I prefer the 2nd layout because you get the diagonal design going on as a secondary pattern. The applique flowers really add that "Heidi" touch! Great job!

I like them set out in the same direction.
