First Blizzard of the Season
We survived. 14 inches of snow and 24 hours of blowing snow. Today the temps in Iowa are frigid. Minus 5 is what my car said as I took the girls to day care. We made the best of no school and no going outside yesterday by cleaning closets and the garage. Doing laundry and dishes...until I realized the hot water heater wasn't working. A little quilting got done too. But today it's back to work and shoveling out driveways and sidewalks. Thank goodness I can work from home since Henry has no school again.
On Tuesday when school was let out early as the snow began to fall, I was reminded how differently children view the weather. Henry took it as an opportunity to get his tractors out and push snow, rather than dirt or sand. He was in heaven. This might not be the best picture of him (from my technical standpoint)...but you can see the glee in his face. Can you imagine years from now when we look back and see his height. That shovel is bigger than him.

He does look very happy! Kids love snow and whether it's because it's fun to play in it or it means a day off from school, it's just plain fun!!
