Quilt Market Friends

This past weekend was the International Spring Quilt Market in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was my fourth quilt show in a month. The spring show season is fast and furious. It was the shortest of my trips, but I do believe it might have been the trip with the most hugs! I've been going to this particular show for many years. The spring market always moves around so I've been East, West, North, and South! The only two spring markets I've missed were because of maternity leave. The show always has a little different feeling than fall market, which is always in Houston, because the local quilters offer a different flare for vendors, exhibits, and even the local eateries and sight-seeing.

Market is where quilt shop owners come to purchase the patterns and fabrics that you'll be buying in your favorite store. Quilt designers are putting their best foot forward to gain your attention. I took a few pictures of long-time friends and their booths.

Jo Morton always has charming patterns.

It was especially fun to see Pam Buda's booth, as she worked hard on the quilt on the right at my spring retreat.

Although I didn't get to see Lynette Jensen herself this year, I am a Thimbleberries fan. Her latest fabric panel of large fall motifs, including this incredible pumpkin are awesome.

    Hi Heidi-

Thanks for blogging about your Quilt Market activities!

As a vendor at Quilt Market, I do not always get a chance to get out and look at all the beautiful booths so thanks for sharing!!
