A Quick Stop
Yesterday I made my way to Quincy, Illinois, for a quilt talk last night and a class today. As I was driving down I-80 I decided I was running 10 minutes ahead of schedule and could make a quick stop at one of my favorite shops--The Woolen Needle in Williamsburg, Iowa.

This shop has an awesome selection of wool. Check out the wall of wool.

The owners, including Annette below, are so sweet. It's always fun to see them.

Note the blue framed piece to the left of Annette--it's a certificate for being featured in Quilt Sampler magazine! I was so excited to hear this shop got selected. Check out the Fall issue of the magazine to see them and other featured shops.
And, if you're driving between Iowa City and Des Moines on I-80 do make a quick stop at this shop. It's worth it.

Oh, I love that shop and went there at the end of Nov. I had heard of it, then you mentioned it on your blog. I loved filling one of the bags with wool scraps, and that wall of wool......it's to "dye" for!

I was just there on Tuesday for the first time. It was beyond belief. I wanted to ship the whole store back to Georgia!

10 minutes isn't enough time to stop at a quilt shop! I would never make it!
