Proud to be One!
Proud to be an ISU Cyclone that is!
The kids are at a great age for going to the games, so we took them to the opening game on Thursday night. It had been raining all day, but it cleared off just in time for the pre-game activities. The hot temps and humid air was replaced with a cool, brisk, prefect evening for ISU football.
The backpack was filled with coats and sweatshirts and the essentials. I fully planned on carrying it but Goldie insisted she carry it. Our pace from the parking area to the stadium was a slow one. With loud music playing, tailgating to watch, painted faces, funny Cyclone striped clothes, buses driving by with boys hanging out the windows--there was SO MUCH to take in.

Tailgating at any college football is good...but bbqed ribs by Corky is awesome! (If you do any grilling you MUST get his seasoning. It's the best.)

What a trooper Goldie is to carry that big backpack! She looks like she is soooo excited. My first apartment was across the street from the old ISU football field and I remember the excitement of game day. Gorgeous photos of the football stadium (the clouds in the one picture almost look like a mountain range)and a really great picture of the band!

I love hearing about your kids. It makes me remember what we did with our kids when they were younger and now we are doing those same things with our grandkids.

I think football is always more fun to watch in person rather than on TV.

Go Cyclones!! I started going to their games when they were in the old stadium. I haven't been in the "new" stadium in a long time. I am a radio fan. Thanks for having give aways.
