Artist's Gallery

My mother is always coming up with the next creative idea to decorate their home. Her latest is the staircase wall that has turned into an artist's gallery. From the cross stitch sampler "Families are Forever" stitched by me years ago, to a watercolor of the Otranto church painted by friend Carolyn Reeder, to the artwork of her grandchildren--it's all included here!

During their annual summer visit, Ryan and Megan painted their canvases with the bright colors that Grandma had selected.

To the painting lab with budding artists Virginia, Goldie, and Henry.

Their colorful artwork is now on permanent display in the staircase gallery.

The art wall reminds me of our daughter and her kids. She has a 2 1/2 yr old and a 10 month old. She is an elementary art teacher. The girls paint in the bathtub. Easy clean up using shaving cream and the kids enjoy that as much as painting. Their art is on the walls of the apartment.

I'm pretty sure she used acrylic paints, but I'll double check on that!
