This and That Update
Between school activities, quilt shows, work, and all, I've found a few minutes to work on my AASV fundraiser quilt. Here's one block to show you my progress.
Even though I'm in the midst of piecing one project it doesn't stop me from working on the next. It is ok to have multiple projects going at one time. It is, really. While in Shipshewana I saw this truck fabric. Henry is so into drawing trucks these days I couldn't resist. I'm working on an idea of taking his drawings and using wool and needlefelting to preserve them forever. We'll see how it progresses.
At the AQS show in Des Moines this week I snatched up these lovely yarns from The Woolen Needle . I think they will be fun to needle-felt with. Now just to find a project for them.
Congratulations to Claudia Pfeil , our APQS Germany sales rep, for taking Best Long-Arm Quilting award at the AQS Show with her quilt, Parrot's Island. Amazing!

Love the Yarn, did you buy enough to wet felt or dry felt? And really...are there people that only work on one project at a time?

I just dry felt. I'm not sure I know what welt felting is?

Oh, I forgot to tell you about a quilt I saw at the show that reminded me of the quilts you make for Henry. It was pinned to the outside of one of the booths, way on the end by the bathrooms, possibly in the same row APQS was or next to it. It used tractor fabrics and was so cute! I would have taken a picture but it had a "no photos" sign on it. Did you happen to see it?
