Crisp, White Snowflakes
I love a Christmas tree with all styles of ornaments on it. Those made in school, given to you by a friend, or found while on a trip. But to hold it all together, the final thing to be put on the branches are handmade, crocheted snowflakes. Lots of them. Lots of different styles. Lots of little bits of white.

I don't crochet. Mine are old and have been around awhile. I googled crocheted snowflakes and I found this blog that has Snowflake Monday's . She obviously loves making them! Do you have a favorite way to decorate your tree?

These are great! I have a bout 50 that my dear, old aunt make me years ago.

Heidi, we must be "Christmas tree cousins" because that is my style of tree dec, right down to the white crocheted snowflakes. I have ornaments from the early 40's and every decade/generation since then, including the kindergartner photos framed in canning jar rings. Love them all. We don't get the tree up every year --now that we are "older" it sometimes depends on health or energy levels, but that tree is there in my mind's eye.
Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family.

Thanks for the link to Snowflake Monday's. I'll send it on to my daughter as she loves to crochet. My mother taught her how to crochet when she would go to visit Grandma in the summer. I never "caught on" to crochet but I'm so glad she did as she has made me a few crochet snowflakes, scarves, etc.
