Inspired by Others

I wish I could tell you that I'm creative 24/7 and I never run out of ideas or inspiration...but I am human! This week was tough. Why wouldn't it be? We'd practically been celebrating Christmas for a month. Monday brought 5 school days IN A ROW. Five work days IN A ROW. Back to the routine. There are lots of great things about routines and for many reasons it felt really good. But then there was the headache that lasted for 2 of those five days.

So, I needed to be inspired. But where would it come from? Then came The Art of Choosing Joy blog feed for Kolette Hall. The entry talked about her husband and his "chore cards." Wow! It was exactly the push I needed at that moment. So, after I placed my order for Jason's chore cards, I started thinking about the words I'd chosen for my New Year's resolution and how I could use this concept.

Then thanks to awesome Creative Memory digital products , I came up with these 4x6" cards. I will print them off and put a brad in the upper right-hand corner to hold them together. Each day I will read these cards. I'll tuck them in my purse and read them during the day. Put them by my night stand and read them before I go to bed. It's going to be a great year. And, bring on week two of 5 days of work and 5 days of school--I'm ready to tackle it head on.

I just wanted you to know...I was going through my old (1998-2004) APQ magazines, looking for articles that I wanted to save and toss the rest. It seems that all those mags are THE BEST! Every page was something I wanted to keep and I know that you had a hand in making it the magazine that I cherish. Thank you for all your hard work in creating those pages of inspiration. It was also fun to see you "back in the day"!!
