Reflections on the weekend

Easter Sunday was a beautiful day. It started off a little cool, but the kids did great outside for the Easter egg hunt at church. As the day went on, the sun warmed us up and it was just lovely for being outside.

Two of our local fisherman came out to see what was biting, so the kids "helped" them and played outside. We got as close to the island as possible to see the abandoned Canada geese eggs. No babies this year. My camera was around my neck, looking to capture the moment. I sent the kids on a hike across the damn (excellent method for wearing off excess chocolate energy) and headed to the porch to get the grill started for supper. Henry was instructing the girls. The girls were happily trailing along.

But the two pictures I keep thinking of are the kids dressed up for church and one I took in the afternoon of them doing what they love best--goofing around outside. Even if it is the burn pile. Both precious photos to me.

Oh, such cute pictures of such cute kids. I like the one of the girls following Henry. And the one on the "burn pile". Seeing them reminds me of adventures with my sister and brother when I was a kid.....way too many years ago. Your kids will treasure these years and your photos when they grow up!
